FAQ

Marine & Offshore ERP questions.

How does project-based job costing work for marine fabrication?+

Every cost element — material consumed (with MTR reference), labour hours per work order, subcon charges per scope item, consumables, and overhead — is recorded against the project and broken down by work order. The system shows project margin in real time, not at month-end, so scope changes can be priced before they erode margin.

Can the system handle classification society requirements?+

Yes. Material certificates, weld procedure qualifications, NDT reports, and inspection records are linked to the project and organised for classification society review (DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register). The material data book is assembled automatically from these linked records.

How does multi-yard subcontractor coordination work?+

Each subcontractor scope has a work order with defined deliverables, timeline, and acceptance criteria. The subcontractor can update progress via a portal. Goods-in inspection at your facility is recorded against the subcon work order. Cost is posted to the project when the scope is accepted.
