We build custom manufacturing ERP and workflow systems for Singapore SMB manufacturers who have outgrown Excel — and for whom SAP, Dynamics, or NetSuite is the wrong shape. Most engagements sit in the S$10,000 – S$30,000 band, ship in 6 – 12 weeks, and leave the client with code they own.

What we believe

Five operating beliefs that shape every engagement.

The master Excel is a person, not a file.

Every SMB manufacturer we have worked with has one person carrying business logic in her head. The first build is the insurance against her absence.

Off-the-shelf rarely fits non-standard workflow.

SAP, Odoo, and no-code tools are excellent products. None of them are shaped to the specific pricing, supplier, or production logic that defines an SMB manufacturer.

Productize the engagement, not the product.

We do not sell modules. We sell a paid discovery, a fixed-scope build, a parallel-run adoption window, and scope-based extensions. Same shape every time.

You should own the code.

Every Start Canyon build ships to a private GitHub repo the client owns. No partner lock-in. Any senior TanStack / React developer in Singapore can extend the system.

Singapore-specific compliance is plumbing, not a feature.

PEPPOL, InvoiceNow, IRAS GST handling, MOM / HSA / NEA touch points — these get built in at design time, not bolted on later.

Honest pricing makes for better first conversations.

We publish our cost bands openly because hidden pricing wastes prospects' time and our own. The first conversation starts with both sides speaking the same numbers.

Who we serve

Singapore SMB manufacturers between Excel and SAP.

Sweet spot: 30 – 300 staff, family or founder-led, second-gen often involved in operations. Industry segments include precision engineering, food & beverage manufacturing, packaging & labels, electronics, metalwork, plastics, marine / offshore parts.

Operational profile: B2B-heavy, custom-spec orders, multiple suppliers or subcons, an admin team that knows the master Excel by heart, a finance system that works (Xero / Million / Globe3 / Sage), and a workflow layer that no longer scales.

If you can name the senior staff member who would be missed most if she took six weeks of leave — you are exactly the operation we exist to help.

The team

Small by design.

Start Canyon is operated by a small Singapore team. Most prospects interact with one operator throughout discovery, build, and adoption. We keep the team intentionally small because the work depends on consistency — the person who maps your workflow during discovery is also the person who designs the system and reviews the build.

We do not maintain a careers page. Capacity comes from how we structure engagements, not from headcount.

How we work
